Getting in the Spirit with Udderly Delicious

When I placed my most recent Udderly Delicious order, I knew I was in for a treat when I ordered a quart of a festive drink known to many as Eggnog. It's December, the holidays are approaching fast, and I wanted to get in the spirit. There is nothing more that gets me in the spirit than sharing and trying new foods, and so I ordered a quart of eggnog to share with those close to me. 

I poured some Udderly Delicious Eggnog into a glass and sprinkled some cinnamon on top. It was a delightful drink of cream and milk, combined with the feeling of holiday greetings and festivities. I usually buy eggnog in the store, but never have I bought it from a farm before. I was really excited to try this fresh and pure Eggnog. It definitely left a positive impression from me and my family! It was a creamy treat of milk, with a sweet vanilla flavor reminiscent of a vanilla milkshake or malt. Made by King Brothers Dairy, this special eggnog was flavorful and, unlike any eggnog I've had before. Flavor is everything when you drink Udderly Delicious Eggnog. Bringing to you the sweetness of the holiday season where everything is cute and cozy, this Eggnog has a texture that feels velvety, similar to vanilla. The rich, creamy texture and the sweet vanilla taste made me feel festive. I also put a little bit of cinnamon on top to add a kick of holiday spice. I also occasionally like Eggnog with a dash of Bailey's Irish Cream, which can help you celebrate Christmas and even New Year's!

Overall, I thought the quality of the Udderly Delicious Eggnog was excellent. It is a tasty holiday treat and a great way to share the spirit with those around you, while introducing them to a one of a kind delivery service. 

How did Eggnog Become a Christmas treat?

Eggnog, according to its history, has been referred to by many as "posset" in Medieval Great Britain, where the drink originated. Eggnog was usually a mixture of cream and curdled milk served warm to hot, as Posset was believed when toasted among Brits, to bring health and prosperity. 

Eggnog, or Posset, was originally made with cream, milk, spice, and rum- all of which were considered "luxury" goods. 

When Eggnog became popular in the United States, it was acknowledged as a Christmas drink because of the Brits' tradition of believing a luxury item like cream would bring luck and wealth into the coming new year. Since its growth in popularity, Eggnog and Winter spices such as cinnamon became a common serving. Fun fact: First President George Washington enjoyed the drink when it was still known as a British import, and 34th President Dwight D. Eisenhower served eggnog to visitors and guests of the White House during his time as President.
